| Kenny López sings, writes songs in
Spanish as well as English and plays the tres cubano,
(a three stringed guitar used in traditional cuban dance
music). He also plays acoustic and electric guitars.
He is the director of the band Odisea La Banda from
Cuba and Havana Connection from Australia. Forthcoming

As a singer and guitarist he evolved in African, Reggae,
Jazz, Funk and Blues bands world-wide and found that
his musical journey led him to Havana to study the tres
with Cuba's number 1 tresero, Pancho Amat.
In 1997 he recorded Animo, his first album
in Cuba with Sierra Maestra,
Cuba's famous exponents of Son whose director
Juan de Marcos formed
Buena Vista Social Club.
Animo was heard throughout Cuba and has been
acclaimed and respected there. - see Discography

Odisea is Kenny López's second album
recorded in Cuba in 2001 with top Cuban musicians. It
has the authentic sound of a Cuban band playing live
in the Benny Moré studios at Radio Progreso.
The album has been well received in Cuba and has Mucho
Swing and originality in the 11 compositions which are
extremely danceable as well as lyrically interesting.
